Ageing Upwards in the Media
It seems that mindfulness and ageing is a subject of great interest. At least my book Ageing Upwards has received good attention in the media. This post links to some of the media interest.
It is crazy to think about how easy it is to reach across the globe these days with new ideas. In the last couple of weeks I have had the pleasure to be talking about mindfulness and ageing to people in United Kingdom, United States, Brazil, Finland, Australia and Netherlands and people from all over the world will listen to the recordings. It is fantastic and hopefully the beginning of a worldwide interest in how to age well mentally through acceptance rather than avoidance.
When I was doing my Master in Vitality and Ageing a couple of years ago, I was surprised to find that most research about ageing is about finding ways to stall or ultimately avoid it. Very little resources are used on researching, inspiring or coaching people in the art of handling the challenges that naturally comes with ageing. Nobody seems interested in finding out how we thrive as well as survive when we age. I hope this interest for my book is reflecting a new approach to ageing that will fill this important subject and research gab.
In this post I have collected links to events, blogs and podcast that my book appear in so far and which are not behind paywalls. Stay tuned, there are more to come.
And please reach out if you, or somebody you know, are interested in hearing me talk about Ageing Upwards.
