Launching November 4th: New Employee Retirement Transition Program!
I have joined Phronetiq to offer a program that aims to empower organizations and employees alike to navigate retirement planning consciously, compassionately and confidently.
As you know, the demographics are changing, the workforce is ageing and retirement no longer looks the same as it did for our (grand)parents . We are seeing a whole new group of people in the 50s-70s who are still very capable and willing to continue living purposeful active lives. However, we (I belong to this group myself) are often met by stereotypical and ageist belief about how we are supposed to act our age. Often, we are even unconsciously limiting ourselves.
New times call for new offers. I am therefore VERY excited to announce the new 5 sessions online Employee Retirement Transitioning Program, which I have developed in cooperation with the founder of Phronetiq, Uliana Shchelgacheva. Phronetiq is an upcoming company with a digital platform set to revolutionise how organisations and employees handle retirement transitions. Uliana has identified a strong desire for a more open trust-based dialog on retirement between employer and employee. Companies wish to provide better opportunities for employees to reflect on retirement and help them through age-related transitions.
As a result of Ulina´s research, we have come up with a new type of retirement program aimed at empowering organizations and employees alike. We are using a unique combination of behavioural science and mindfulness. The aim is to facilitate improved self-awareness and emotional management for the employees as well as give them the tools to make clear, well-thought decisions and plans for this exciting new phase of their lives.
On completion, employees will walk away with:
1. A deeper understanding of what it means to retire and age in the current times of longevity
2. Enhanced self-awareness of values, purpose, and current biases, thought, and behavioral patterns.
3. New life-skills: Knowing what tools, skills and mindset allow us to grow older consciously, purposeful, compassionate and resilient.
4. Personal retirement plan that aligns with their unique values and goals, ensuring a smooth and confident transition into retirement.
5. Strong sense of community. The shared experiences and collective wisdom of the “transition buddies” will help keep the participants motivated and on track – very likely even long after the program is over.
Another unusual aspect of our program is the opportunity to combine participants from different companies. This allows participants to explore and discus challenges and opportunities with people in similar situations but from different companies and let them be inspired by other ways of doing things. It also makes it possible for smaller companies to benefit financially and socially by being part of bigger groups.
Although we have done our research, this is also new times for us. I would therefore love to hear feedback from the positive aging-savvy community here on LivingUpwards on our offer. Could you see your company offer this program? Would you like to join as an employee? Why or why not?
For this first cohort we are offering 4 places for the price of 3 to the first two companies signing up.
We are starting the first cohort of 16 employees already on November 4th.
